The AISD has partnered with K12 Insight to launch the Let’s Talk app. Every submission is assigned to an appropriate school administrator and that administrator receives a notification from the app until the submission is answered.
The app allows the district’s service departments to better communicate across all stakeholder groups.
Some examples of reasons to reach out for help for yourself or others are bullying, violence, personal health, suicide prevention, or a crisis at home. If this is an emergency or life-threatening to the student or others, please call 911.
Bullying – Suicide Prevention – Crisis at Home – Personal Health – Homelessness – Student Safety
The ARP ESSER III grant program is authorized in the American Rescue Plan Act (AR), signed into law in March 2021. The purpose of ESSER III in general is to award subgrants to local educational agencies (LEAs) to address the impact that COVID-19 has had and continues to have on elementary and secondary schools.
Almost two of every three voters said “YES!” to our students in the 2018 bond election. They approved plans to spend $138.6 million on new facilities that will benefit elementary, middle and high school students for many years. The NEW facilities for academics, athletics, and the arts will help our dedicated teachers continue the quality education our students deserve.

“While I was a student of Abilene ISD, I was given many opportunities to be in leadership positions. Whether it was student council president, whether it was class president or whether it was a captain of an athletic team, those opportunities afforded me the chance to build a skill set that has allowed me to be in leadership positions today.“
Rep. Stan Lambert

“I love AISD. AISD influenced me to pursue the field of medicine after a senior biology and anatomy teacher named D.R. Jonas directed me. It prepared me for both my undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as for my current position as a physician in Abilene, Texas.“
