Jackson Elementary School was built in 1962. The school mascot is the buffalo and the school colors are orange and blue. Students and staff exemplify our school motto, “Just Can't Hide Our Jackson Pride”. We serve 600 students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grades.

We have consistently earned Gold Performance Awards from the Texas Education Agency for the high percent of our students who achieved Commended Performance on the TAKS tests. Jackson was rated “Exemplary” from 1998 – 2002, and again in 2009. Our rating was “Recognized” from 2003-2008, and again in 2010. Texas Monthly Magazine rated Jackson a five-star school each year the award has been given - 1996, 2001, 2006, and 2007.

We have high expectations for our students and believe that all students can succeed. Education is a team effort, and we know that the students, parents, teachers, and other staff members all working together can make this another wonderfully successful year for our students. We are looking forward to celebrating the achievements of our students and creating some wonderful memories together!
