Welcome to Lee Fourth Grade! We are striving to become independent learners and to take responsibility for our own learning. We are learning to become writers. We write two page stories, with five paragraphs, and we use voice and can be as creative as we like. In math we learn conversions in measurement, to multiply two and three digit numbers, and to divide with remainders. In reading we read several of novels. We learn to find out the author’s purpose for writing the story. We also learn inferences, context clues and multiple meaning words, which we need in order to become great and fluent readers. By the time we leave fourth grade, we are ready to take the challenge as successful learners in the fifth grade.
