Abilene ISD with the continued support of the Board of Trustees, Pepsi/Dr. Pepper, and community members have made vast improvements at Shotwell Stadium over the past few years. However, financing for landscaping is not included in the renovations. In recognition of contributions to the proud history of athletics in the Abilene Independent School District and as an enduring reminder of leadership and character, trees have been planted at P. E. Shotwell Stadium by many friends. Anyone wishing to donate can honor or memorialize a former or current athlete, coach, fan, or student. Please contact Keith Dowell at 677-1444 ext. 8906. Normally, trees will be planted in the fall of each year. The plaque has been designed so names can be added if and when additional trees are purchased. Help beautify Shotwell Stadium as well as honor someone special. |
