At Bowie Elementary, “All children are Special!” Bowie
Elementary built in 1951 has long been a center of
neighborhood activities and has enjoyed strong community
support from both parents and Adopters.
Bowie currently has an enrollment of 623 students.
The school has received Gold Awards for the 02-03 school
year for improved performance on the TAKS test. The
Bowie Bobcats have an organized Cub Scout troop which
meets at school regularly as well as an after-school
Y-Care program which provides care for children on
campus. Bowie also enjoys a very active and very supportive
Parent Teacher Association.
