  • Welcome, I am Brenda Stuteville and am lucky enough to be one of the Culinary Arts teachers. I come by my Culinary skills and love of food preparation naturally because I was blessed enough to have a mom who had a business cooking and baking for many folks in Abilene. I have been around food for as long as I can remember. I remember with fondness coming home after school as a teenager and mixing and baking chocolate chip cookies for my friends to enjoy. I began my teaching  at Dear Ole Abilene High in 1994. Not only am I lucky enough to teach here but also am a former Eagle, along with our  4 children. We bleed black and gold at our house.  I love this school and the rich heritage it has provided in the history of Abilene. Following graduation from AHS, I received a BS in Family and Consumer Science from Abilene Christian University.

Intro to Culinary Arts is the class I will be teaching. It is the beginning class that leads thru the pathway of Culinary and hopefully will culminate in a successful career in the industry. In teaching this class, I hope to share my love of cooking and baking as well as skills to help your student become more aware of the culinary industry and planning for their future with skills for securing employment. Whether pursuing a career in the food service industry or developing life skills, this class will enhance a place in society, your home or a career.

Looking forward to an AHSome year!

    Mrs. Stuteville
