My name is Jennifer Alden. I teach English II at Abilene High School. I am from New York and Vermont. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in history from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont. I started having my four children and stayed home with them for 15 years. In 1997 we moved to Abilene, TX. In 2009 I decided to attend McMurry University in Abilene, TX to receive my TX teaching certificate in 2010. My mom was my inspiration to become a teacher. She was a Spanish and English teacher. She had a great passion for teaching and for her students. I wanted to be just like her and pass on the tradition of teaching in my family. I have been teaching in a couple of rural schools until I started teaching at Abilene High (the BEST place to be) in 2016. I have a great passion for literature, teaching, education, and my students. I cannot imagine doing anything else but teaching at Abilene High! Go Eagles!
