To register a new student, use the information below to determine which method applies to your situation. Using the correct method will keep the parent/guardian from having multiple accounts to manage.
Method 1: The Parent/Guardian is an AISD Employee:
Method 2: The Parent/Guardian has a student currently attending any Abilene ISD school and has a parent TEAMS account:
Method 3: The Parent/Guardian has a student currently attending any Abilene ISD school (including early childhood) and does not have a parent TEAMS account:
Method 4: The Parent/Guardian does not have any students currently enrolled in Abilene ISD and does not have a parent TEAMS account:

Summer registration is normally held at the campuses the week before summer school starts. During the school year, students may be registered online at any time and finalize enrollment at the campus anytime during the school day. Schools in AISD
Students in the Abilene district attend neighborhood schools.
Advanced Placement Courses
Pre-AP classes begin in the 6th grade. Pre-AP and AP classes which permit high school students to earn college credits are offered in both high schools . For more information click here.
Abilene ISD offers a full athletic program. Team sports begin at the middle school level and progress to junior varsity and varsity programs at the high schools. Tryouts are held in the spring and summer training for fall sports starts in early August. AISD is a member of the Texas UIL 5A conference. Students may participate in a wide variety of academic, athletic, artistic or social activities. The district believes student participation in extracurricular activities extends and enriches their educational experience while developing valuable personal skills.
The University Interscholastic League is the governing agency for competitive extracurricular activities.
Abilene ISD has an outstanding, multi-faceted fine arts program. From stimulating elementary music classes to sixth-grade beginning instrumental classes to choir, band, orchestra, theatre arts, art, speech, and dance at the high school level, the school district supports the philosophy that the arts are an integral part of education.
Gifted & Talented Programs
The district's serves gifted and talented students in kindergarten through grade five with on campus services. Students in grades threeparticipate in a weekly pulloout program. At the middle school and high school levels students are served through enriched Pre AP and AP classes. Campus counselors can provide information about the identification and placement process.
Every AISD campus is served by a nurse. The district has a strong working relationship with Dyess medical personnel. Medications can be given during school hours. A consent form is required and all medications must be supplied in the original container .
