Jordan Ziemer

Dr. Jordan Ziemer joined the Abilene ISD family in June 2020. He previously served students in Texas as the Director of Communications and Marketing for La Vernia ISD and as an Assistant Professor of Communication at the University of Texas at San Antonio. His professional goal is to help spread the word about the great things happening in Abilene ISD every day.

Dr. Ziemer holds a Ph.D. in Communication from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) as well as two degrees in the same field from Abilene Christian University. An active member of the Texas School Public Relations Association, Dr. Ziemer is a previous TSPRA Conference Scholarship winner and serves on current standing committees. In his increasingly rare free time, Dr. Ziemer enjoys adventuring with his family, playing and listening to live music, and waiting for the Dallas Cowboys to return from the football wilderness.
