Keri Thornburg

A product of Abilene ISD and 1986 graduate of Abilene High School, Keri Thornburg has served AISD since 1995, beginning her career as a teacher at Bowie Elementary. Additionally, she spent eight years in the role of elementary Instructional Coordinator at several campuses, followed by ten years serving as an elementary principal at both Bassetti and Taylor.  

Currently serving as Executive Director for Curriculum and Instruction since 2021, Thornburg oversees teacher and campus support related to classroom instruction and implementation of instructional resources at all elementary and secondary campuses.
