AHS, CHS Winterguard Teams Complete Successful Season

The Abilene High and Cooper High Winterguard teams completed a successful contest seaons with strong finishes in meets held throughout the Metroplex.

During the Winterguard season, the AHS Winterguard competed in the North Texas Colorguard Association’s Winterguard Contests in the Regional AA and received the following awards:

• February 3, 2018 – 4^th place, Boswell High School
• February 9, 2018 – 4^th place, Sachse High School
• March 2, 2018 – 3^rd place, Sachse High School
• March 24, 2018 – 1^st Place, Championships at The Colony High School

The Abilene High School Winterguard is under the direction of Brittany Tawater.

The CHS Winterguard competed in four of the North Texas Colorguard Association’s Winterguard Contests in the Regional A Division and received the following awards:

• January 27, 2018 – 2^nd place, Lamar High School
• February 10, 2018 – 2^nd place, Berkner High School
• March 3, 2018 – 3^rd place, Red Oak
• March 24, 2018 – 7^th place, Championships at Marcus High School

Cooper High School Winterguard is under the direction of Becky Mathis.
