Holland Medical High School celebrated its 10th anniversary with a celebration ceremony and open house on April 20 at the school on the Hardin-Simmons University campus.

Current students and staff joined Holland alumni and community members for the ceremony at Van Ellis Recital Hall next to the Holland Health Science Building.

Holland became AISD’s first magnet school in 2007 as a partnership between the district and HSU.

Dr. David Young, AISD Superintendent, and Eric Bruntmyer, president of HSU, both shared remarks with the audience. Mr. Bruntmyer also introduced grandchildren of the late Scotty Holland and his wife Jacque Holland, whose large gift led to the building of the Holland Health Science Building and Holland Med High.
