The Abilene ISD Summer Technology Camps have them – and more.

Registration for 2018 AISD Summer Technology Camps is now open for students who will be entering grades 2nd through 9th grade for the 2018-19 school year. Enrollment in the camps is accepted on a first-come, first-paid basis, and registration ends May 31.

Half-day camps in the mornings and afternoons are being held from June 18-21 and June 25-28 at the Academy of Technology, Engineering, Math and Science (ATEMS) on the campus of Texas State Technical College on East Highway 80.

Cost is $95 for each camp and enrollment is open to students from any district, not just AISD. All camps are taught by certified AISD teachers, integrating technology with theme-related instruction.

Here is the lineup of camps scheduled for this June:

Students entering grades 2-3 – Logo Story Starters, Kids Can Code, Survivor: Extreme Environments.

Students entering grades 4-5 – Animation Creation, Maker Madness, Lego WeDo Constructors: An Introduction to Robotics.

Students entering grades 6-7 – Minecraft: Beyond the Game, Robotics Using Lego Mindstorms, Digital Arts.
