It’s Musical Theater Season: “Sister Act” and “Big Fish” Hit the Stage

It says January on the calendar, but spring musical season is here.

The Fine Arts departments at Abilene High and Cooper High are sharing the spotlight with concurrent musical theater productions starting Jan. 31.

CHS will present “Sister Act” with four shows starting Thursday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. Shows are also on Friday and Saturday nights, and a matinee is set for Saturday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. All shows are at the Cooper High School Auditorium.

Abilene High opens its two-weekend splash of the musical, “Big Fish,” on Jan. 31 through Feb. 2, and then another two-night swim will be Friday and Saturday nights, Feb. 8 and 9.  All curtains are at 7 p.m. at the Abilene High School Auditorium.
