WHERE ARE YOU FROM? WHAT SCHOOL DID YOU ATTEND? Born and raised in a small town in Iowa. Graduated from Becman High School in Iowa and graduated from Cisco College. I am currently working on my Bachelor’s degree.
TELLS US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY: My husband stays at home and cares for his mother, and my daughter works fulltime at Big Country Veterinary Clinic.
TELL US SOMETHING INTERESTING ABOUT YOURSELF: I have five brothers and one sister. I am the only one in the family who moved out of Iowa to begin my career. Additionally, I am a member of the USPSA and am a competitive shooter.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB? The favorite part of my job: Helping children become the best they can be. Since I have the same children for three years, it allows me to be a stronger mentor for them and their families.
WHAT THE BOSS SAYS ABOUT HIM/HER: “Karen is the employee everyone would want. She is ambitious, driven and hard- working. Additionally, she works well with other staff, parents and children. She has excellent attendance and is never tardy. She is an excellent trainer for new staff and ensures children are ready for their three-year-old experience when they leave the program.
