Want to get your geek on this summer? Does learning more about robotics, animation creation, AR/VR machines and digital arts sound fun?
Spots are still open in Abilene ISD’s Summer Technology Camps, but the deadline to register is approaching.
A series of educational summer technology camps taught by certified AISD teachers begin in June and are available to students who will enter the 2nd through the 9th grades in the next school year (2019-20). Teachers integrate technology with theme-related instruction in the classes held on the campus of Texas State Technical College.

- Students entering Grades 2-3 – Survivor: Extreme Environment with AR/VR, Lego StoryStarters, Kids Can Code
- Students entering Grades 4-5 – Stop Motion Animation Creation, Maker Madness, Lego WeDo Construction: An Introduction to Robotics
- Students entering Grades 6-9 – Minecraft: Beyond the Game, Robotics Using Lego Mindstorms, Digital Arts
Campers are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until registration closes on Monday, May 27th. Half-day camps for four days run from 8 a.m. until noon or 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Each class costs $95 each. Camps are June 10-13 or June 17-20.
Registration can be completed online with a credit card at www.abileneisd.org. Cash payments can be made at One AISD Center, 241 Pine St., between 8:30 a.m. – noon or 1 – 4:30 p.m.
