ABILENE – Advanced tickets for Friday night’s Crosstown Showdown football game between Abilene High and Cooper will go on sale Tuesday and will be available until noon Friday. All advanced ticket sales will take place at the One AISD Center (241 Pine St.).

The Eagles and Cougars will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Shotwell Stadium in the 59th edition of the rivalry game. Cooper leads the all-time series, 34-23-1, although the Eagles have won 14 of the last 20 contests, including last year’s 21-13 victory.

Cooper is the home team and its fans will sit on the west side (press box side) of the stadium. Because the Cougars are the home team, ticket prices for Cooper home games will be used. Adults can purchase advance tickets for $8 at the Abilene ISD Ticket Office at One AISD Center. Office hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Friday.

After 12 p.m. on Friday, all tickets must be purchased at the stadium and all tickets will be $10 at the gate. All tickets sold at the stadium are reserved seating. The gates will open at 6 p.m.

Students can purchase tickets in advance at their individual campuses for $3 apiece.
