COVID-19 Grading GuidelinesParent / Student Q&A

ABILENE – A few things are changing with the Abilene ISD Online Learning initiative, launched on Monday, March 23, to serve students while school is indefinitely shut down because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Beginning Monday, April 13, and continuing through the rest of the district’s on-campus shutdown, it will be mandatory for all students to work on the Online lessons (students don’t have to go back to the earlier weeks but can start with Week 4 Lessons).

Students must submit one sample work assignment to their teacher for each class taken each week. We are still not taking actual grades on these assignments, but teachers will monitor student progress and provide feedback.

The best way to submit an assignment is to take a picture of the completed assignment each week and email it to the teacher or send it to through Remind. Please refer to the video below and the documents on the right side of this page for further questions and answers about changes in our online learning process.
