ABILENE – The Abilene ISD will begin its summer feeding program on June 1 and will continue through July 23, continuing to serve the community by offering free breakfast and lunch for children age 18 and under.

The Student Nutrition Department actually began feeding those children on March 17 with the school shutdown because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and through the final day on May 22 served more than 105,000 meals. The AISD will not have free breakfast or lunch the week of May 25, but will pick up the program again on Monday, June 1.

Meals will be served Monday-Friday at 12 different sites around town. Those sites and times are below. To participate, find a meal site near you, call 211 for information or visit abileneisd.org for meal sites.
