2020-21 Student-Parent Calendar
ABILENE — The AISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted to approve an adjustment to the district’s 2020-21 school calendar, moving the start of school back four days to Aug. 24.
The AISD was originally scheduled to begin on Thursday, Aug. 20, but will now begin Monday, Aug. 24, after Monday afternoon’s vote. The reason for the adjustment is to give our teachers and staff adequate time to both practice in the online learning environment and prepare to teach district safety protocols to in-person learners.
