ABILENE – The University Interscholastic League Music Region VI held its annual East Zone High School Band Concert & Sightreading Contest on March 30, 2021, at Cooper High School.

The high school bands are directed by: Abilene High School – Dr. Jon Kraemer, Tyler Jacks, and Christina Hurlbut; and Cooper High School – Anthony Gibson, Jessica Fox, and Patrick Stevenson.
The middle school bands are directed by: Craig Middle School – Dale Pfrimmer and Alanna Curley; Clack Middle School bands – Pearl Gonzales and Lance Mosley; Madison Middle School – Paula McGrew and Jenny Reece; and Mann – Amber Moore and Emma Hoover.
Judges for the contest were Barry Hurt, Carroll Rhodes, Darrington White, Brian Hecimovich, Michael Marsh, and David Eakins.
