Earlier this month Dyess Elementary turned pink to help raise money for Hendrick Hospital’s Hope Fund cancer charity. “Pink Out” was an event organized by coaches Lafuente and Clawson and managed to raise $800 through t-shirt sales. Students got to don their best pink shirts and took part in a Fun Run all in the name of helping to raise awareness for early breast cancer detection and support. The Hope Fund offers clinical services such as mammograms, breast ultrasound and can also assist with medical supplies. For more information, contact 325-670-HOPE (4673)
