Abilene High and Cooper High orchestra students participated in the Texas Music Educators Association Region 6 All-Region Orchestra audition on Sept. 24 at Midland Legacy High School.
AHS placed five students in the All-Region Symphony Orchestra. Those students by instrument were:
Violin – Ethan Dunn, Emily Ratliff
Viola – Hannah Bryant, Zoe Prescott
Bass – Trinity Bryant
Cooper placed five students in the All-Region Symphony Orchestra:
Violin – John Tran
Viola – Libby Herring
Cello – Dathan Dillinger
Bass – Zoe Lopez, Kaden Miller
AHS placed two students in the All-Region String Orchestra:
Violin – Mary Lowe
Bass – Cooper Smith
Cooper placed one student in the All-Region String Orchestra:
Bass – Brynn Bradshaw
These students will be performing in the All-Region Orchestra Concert at the CHS Auditorium Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. The AHS orchestra is under the direction of Elizabeth Blatchley, while the CHS orchestra is led by Fred Grigg.
