Michele Wilson

My name is Michele Wilson and I teach elementary music K-5, choir and Music Memory.  I grew up in Springfield, Missouri, but moved to Texas in 1982.  I have been teaching since 1998 and started teaching in Abilene in 2003.  I am Kodaly certified from the West Texas Kodaly Initiative. I was awarded Alcorta Teacher of the Year in 2014 and the Fine Arts Teacher of the Year in 2021.  I am married to Todd and have two grown children and a daughter-in-law.  I love teaching my Alcorta Buffaloes to love and enjoy music; not just today, but for a lifetime. Zoltan Kodaly said, "With music, one's whole future life is brightened.  This is such a treasure in life that it helps us over many troubles and difficulties.  Music is nourishment, a comforting elixir.  Music multiplies all that is beautiful and of value in life."
