I am the speech therapist for Jackson Elementary school. I look forward to getting to know all of the speech students from kindergarten through fifth grade. Communication is such an important issue for education since learning and social relationship requires interaction in all forms; verbal, written, auditory, and non-verbal. Our goal here at Jackson is to enhance your child’s learning and relationships by helping to ensure that he/she is able to interact effectively at the level that is appropriate for him/her.
It is always helpful to know as much as possible about how children communicate in other environments besides school, and I appreciate getting to know family and friends of our students.
My background includes working as an audiologist, a deaf interpreter, communication strategies for non-verbal autistic children, a parent instructor for deaf infants, and a school speech pathologist.
