Instructional Coordinator

I am an Abilene native and proud graduate of AISD, attending Bowie Elementary, Jefferson Middle School, and Cooper High School. I attended McMurry University, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelors in Math Education, and moved to the Dallas area where I spent 15 years teaching high school math and one year serving as an Instructional Coach. During that time, I completed my Masters in Math Leadership from Texas A&M as well as my Principal Certification coursework through Lamar University. I am passionate about instruction and helping teachers grow. I firmly believe that when teachers grow, students grow. I am so excited to return to my roots, to work for the district that inspired me to become an educator and to support the students and teachers of AISD through The LIFT. With this new facility, the students have an incredible opportunity to explore career paths in various fields and it is an honor to be a part of - what I believe to be - the future of education. It is going to be a great year!
