Hello Austin Raider families!! I am Katherine Avila and I have been teaching since 2019. I was born and raised in Abilene and attended college here as well. I am a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University with a degree in Elementary Education. I got married in May of 2021 and welcomed our daughter in October of 2022. This is my second year teaching in AISD and I have been at  Austin ever since. I am so happy to be here! I couldn't ask for a better place to work. I am so excited for the 2023-2024 school year! GO RAIDERS!
