My name is Tara Carothers. I have been teaching in Abilene ISD since 2015. My teaching roles have consisted of teaching first and second grade, reading intervention, and now dyslexia intervention. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Abilene Christian University in 2014 and my Masters in Reading from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2020. I am a certified reading specialist and passionate about providing my students with strategies to help them grow in their reading abilities.
