King, Laura

Hello, my name is Laura King and this is my 5th year to teach 2nd grade at Austin Elementary.  I began teaching in 1999 after graduating from McMurry University.  I taught in Merkel ISD at Tye Elementary School for 11 years until staying home with my children for a few years.  I am excited about being in the classroom again at our beautiful new Austin Elementary.  My husband and I have a son in 11th grade at Abilene High and a daughter in 8th grade at Mann Middle School.  I definitely call Austin my second home!  I am excited to welcome my 2nd grade students into our class family!
