I am a graduate of Abilene High School (1991). I am honored to be a member of the AISD faculty/staff. My husband and I met at AHS and are now both employed by the school district. I joined AISD/ Bonham family in 2017 as the attendance clerk. It is our goal to encourage and motivate your children to develop study habits and routines that lead them to successful futures. A student’s regular daily attendance has been proven to be a vital part to accomplishing this goal. As parents/ guardians, your cooperation has a significant part in this; by limiting absences, scheduling medical appointments after 9:30 and seeing that they return with the proper documentation (Dr.’s note), reporting absences by calling to report/ confirm the reason for the absence or sending written documentation (parent note) to excuse an absence. All calls received after 9:30, reporting absences, will be subject to receiving an automated call from AISD, an unreported absence will be subject to a phone call from myself, as well as the automated call out. A failure to report, confirm or excuse a child’s absence or excessive absences may subject to a principal and/ or district truancy officer visit. For your convenience, reports of absences can be received at any time. You will have the option to leave a voicemail and I will code them to avoid interruptive call outs. I look forward to serving your families during a healthy and triumphant school year as a Bonham Bulldog!
