Hi! My name is Whitney Pope and I am so excited to be teaching 1st Grade at Bonham this year. Before becoming a Bonham Bulldog, I taught Pre-K for 8 years (some here in Abilene at RBS and some in the Fort Worth area) and worked with Early Childhood for 8 years before that. I grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and will always be an Okie at heart. I graduated from Northeastern State University in 2010 and also married my best friend, Jamie, that same year. We moved to Texas in January 2012 (Fort Worth) and ended up moving to Abilene in November 2017. We have two sons, Logan (10) and Anderson (6). We also have a very energetic 2 year old Mini-Australian Shepherd named Thor. I love being a part of helping a child learn and grow. I have always said that I feel like teaching is something that is just engrained in me and it's one of my biggest passions in life. First grade is so special and is one of the core foundational ages to help set a precedent for future academic years. I am honored that I get to teach first grade here at Bonham!
