The Gifted Education program works to enhance students learning by giving gifted learners the opportunities to extend and enrich their curriculum.  In all grades, the GT students are grouped with other GT students and are taught by a certified G/T teacher.  They will participate in several projects throughout the year that will be on display at our GT Showcase. Gifted students are provided a differentiated curriculum that occurs in content, process, and/or product.  Our GT students are also highly encouraged to prosper in our AR program and are also given opportunities to compete against other students through the U.I.L. program which hosts contests in Storytelling, Spelling, Reading and Creative Writing, Number Sense, Oral Reading, and several more.  Gifted students in the 3rd – 5th grades also participate in Think Tank:  Talented Academically Navigating Kids.  This team comes together several times throughout the school year to build relationships, participate in STEM activities, and utilize higher level thinking skills.
