Kindergarten

Kindergartners at Bowie Elementary are engaged in hands-on learning in a warm positive environment.  In kindergarten, we are having fun learning about letters and sounds. We are learning our numbers and shapes through math tubs and manipulatives. We are learning our color words by singing songs. We have also incorporated daily literacy centers to enhance our students’ reading and writing skills.

We encourage families to get involved by participating in special projects, daily homework, field trips and classroom activities. By working together as a team, we make learning fun. Other kindergarten activities throughout the year include:  Abilene Zooand our trip to the Planetarium.
