Hello, my name is Lauren Harvey and as of 2023, I am new to AISD and Bowie Elementary. 

I’m so excited to be a Bowie Bobcat! 

After living in Abilene for most of my life, I am looking forward to the opportunity to be a part of AISD. My husband John and I have been married since 2017 and have two awesome daughters, Lynlee and Emersyn. I graduated from Wylie High School, went to Cisco College locally for 2 years, then graduated from Texas Tech University School of Nursing here in Abilene with a Bachelor’s of Science in 2017. I previously worked in Labor & Delivery at Abilene Regional, then Pediatric Associates for 5 years prior to coming to AISD. I am excited to bring my knowledge of caring for pediatric patients to the school setting!

Some Quick Notes For Parents/Guardians:

• All medications must be stored in the nurse’s office, in a locked cabinet, with a medication log filled out and signed by the parents/guardians of the student. Please do not send medications with students in their backpacks to school. 
• If your child is sent home for the day with a fever or diarrhea/vomiting they need to be without symptoms for 24 hours before returning to school. 
• If your child has any new health diagnoses or changes to their daily medications throughout the year, please let me know ASAP so that I can update the system and make sure that they receive the best care and education possible.
