My name is Mary Haney! I am currently a fourth grade teacher at Martinez Elementary teaching Science and Social Studies.  I am married to Larry who is an Engineering Teacher at ATEMS High School.  We have three adult children and three grandchildren.  I taught 15 years at Clack Middle School in 6th grade Science and now I am in my 17th year with AISD.  I enjoy doing outdoor activities especially nature hikes, bird watching, and pollinator gardening and be active in our church.  I enjoy watching the butterflies, bees and hummingbirds at my small garden at home.  I also love to read and in the past was an avid tennis player and trying to get back into it after some injuries sidelined me.  I am from Texas and went to Texas A&M for my undergraduate and Western Illinois for a graduate degree.  I would love to be able to travel more and visit every national park our country has. Mostly I love being a child of God!
