Rachal Price

Hello! My name is Rachal Price. I am married and have two children, and I teach English I and III at Cooper High School. As of the 2022-23 school year, I have been teaching for a total of eight years. I want my classroom to be a place where expectations are set that will help students succeed. With that being said, I encourage students to be proactive in their learning by communicating with me to obtain assignments when they are absent, putting forth their best effort on each assignment or task , and asking for assistance when they are struggling (before the due date of the assignment). The district policy for make-up work and late work is enforced in my classroom as follows:
  • Students have three school days after the original due date of an assignment to turn it in late; they can receive up to a 70 on their late assignments. After those three days, late assignments will not longer be accepted.
  • Absences:
    • For an absence of 1-2 days, students have 2 day to complete the assignments and turn them back in.
    • For an absence of 3-5 days, students have 1 day per day that they are absent to complete and return assignments.
    • For an absence of 5 or more days, students have 5 days from the date of return to complete and return assignments.
Tutorials will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4:30 p.m. Students or parents need to let me know if their child will be staying prior to them showing up. If these times do not work for your child, another time may be available upon request. Thank you!
