My name is Alison Camp. I have been the principal at Austin Elementary School since the fall of 2016. I have been with the Abilene Independent School District since 2005 as an elementary teacher at Fannin Elementary, followed by an Instructional Coordinator at Ortiz and Ward. Having grown up in Abilene, I believe that AISD provides an outstanding education. I attended Bonham Elementary, Madison Middle School and Cooper High School. I received my B.B.S. and M.Ed. from Abilene Christian University. My husband is a coach at Abilene High School, and I have two children, Caden and Hadley.
I desire for each child that walks through our doors to become lifelong learners that will be leaders both on and off our campus. Please feel free to stop in and see the wonderful things that happen daily at Austin Elementary. There is nothing greater than being a Raider!

Our school is successful because of the faculty, students, parents and community. We are “Raider SCHOLARS”, and I encourage all of you to join the Austin Elementary School PTO.This organization makes a notable difference in the lives of our students and faculty every day. A special thank you to PTO for the support in continuing "The Leader in Me". The seven habits of successful living will enable all Austin community members to thrive!
In closing, I appreciate everyone's time and support as we focus on meeting the needs of every child at Austin Elementary School. I look forward to working with all of you throughout the year. My door is always open; so please come by, and see me anytime.
