Achieving Excellence

"Austin: Great Happens Here!"

I have been the counselor at Austin Elementary since 2011.  I am an Abilene native and attended Jackson, Madison, and Cooper.  I did my undergraduate work at Baylor and graduate work at Sul Ross University.  I look forward to working with our great Austin staff, parents, and students!  We are also thankful to our PTO for their support with "The Leader in Me" at our school!  We have an awesome community here at Austin, and I encourage you to volunteer wherever and whenever you can!  Go Raiders!

My office hours are 7:45-3:45 Monday-Friday.
Please feel free to call or come by anytime!

My goal is to provide a student-centered comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program, in which all students are involved in activities that will enable them to reach their full potential.

I am involved in classroom guidance,  small groups and individual counseling with many of our students. I also work with our team of Student Hosts, 5th Grade Just Say No Club, attendance, and academic motivation, ropes course, and many more programs throughout the year.

I am responsible for the administration of our Gifted and Talented assessments and I am the campus coordinator for all state mandated assessments (STAAR and TELPAS).  I am also part of the "Leader in Me" Lighthouse team.

Most importantly, I am responsible for being here to help you have the best year and the best future you can possibly have. I encourage students and parents to feel free to come and visit with me at any time.
