From the time I was a little girl, I knew that I wanted to work in the healthcare profession. My own education with AISD as a Bowie Bobcat, Jackson Buffalo, Madison Bison, and Cooper Cougar, gave me the strong background that I needed to further pursue my education. I am a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University, Southwest Texas State University, and the Abilene Intercollegiate School of Nursing. I have been blessed to work in a variety of healthcare settings, including respiratory therapy, cardiology, and school nursing. I particularly love serving as a nurse in the school setting where I can have a positive influence in children's lives each day.
My key role here at Dyess Elementary is to help keep kids healthy, so they can be in class - learning! As students come to the clinic, I try to teach as I treat. I want to empower students with proactive healthcare information so that they can lead happy, healthy,
and productive lives.
I look forward to this academic year as your school nurse. I am proud to be a Dyess Jet in AISD!
