In 2nd grade, we are soaring through the school year as we learn to become smart, successful students. We have been learning strategies to decode words in order to help use become fluent readers. In addition, we have also been challenging ourselves by reading chapter books and taking AR tests to help learn new comprehension skills. We’re excited because we know that these activities will help us gear up for Third Grade. That’s not all we need to know for 3rd grade. We’ve already learned how to do 2-digit addition and subtraction with and without regrouping, and we’re getting ready to learn how to do multiplication and division. Furthermore, we get to perform fun science activities to help us understand concepts, like The Water Cycle. In Social Studies we’ll get learn about our landmarks and symbols of our state and country. There’s so much more to tell you, but this will have to do for now!
