Hello! My name is Tina Cook. I joined the United States Air Force after graduating High School and was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. I served 4 years as a Medical Technician in the Recovery Room at Wilford Hall Medical Center. I met and married my husband Jeff who has served 27 years as a Medical Service Corps Officer. I have two children, Jenna, a freshman at Texas Tech, and Tyler, a junior at Wylie High School. My third baby is an adorable chocolate lab named Cooper. Jeff will retire soon and we are excited to make Abilene our “Forever Home”.
I graduated from Texas State University in 1999 with a Bachelors in Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am also a Texas certified Reading Teacher for 1st-8th Grade, Special Education 1-12, English as a second language (ESL), and Gifted and Talented. I taught 5th Grade Math and Science in Panama City, Florida, 2nd Grade and Homebound in Virginia, Reading Interventionist and 1st grade teacher at Kendall Elementary. I am looking for forward to teaching 4th grade this year at Dyess Elementary!
I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, and volunteering. I am looking forward to this year and all the new adventures that it will hold.
