If you are transferring to Dyess Elementary from another school district and currently receive speech therapy, please let us know. We will schedule a “Transfer meeting” to match the services your child is currently receiving.
I came to Dyess Elementary at the beginning of the 2017-18 school year and had previously provided speech therapy at Bonham Elementary, Woodson Early Childhood and Tri-County Co-op (Hawley and Anson public schools). I also worked for five years with babies from birth to age three and their families through ECI (Early Childhood Intervention) as a Child Development Specialist. My husband of 31 years, Gary (technology coordinator at Anson ISD) and I were both born and raised in Abilene and graduated together from Hardin-Simmons University in August of 1990. We have a son named Clay (aircraft mechanic) who is married to Tisha (marriage/family counselor), a son named Ethan (firefighter) who is married to Quincy (speech therapist) and a daughter named Bethany who is a senior at Dallas Baptist University, studying Christian ministry. I love spending time with my husband and our family, cooking, working in the yard/vegetable garden, crocheting, reading, and working with kids.
Thank you for sharing yours with me. Mrs. Westbrook
