Dean

Jennifer Seekins began her professional education career by student teaching in AISD in the fall of 1998 at Lincoln Middle School and at Cooper High School. She received her Bachelor of Behavior Arts Degree from Hardin-Simmons University in December of 1998 and her Masters Degree in Counseling and Human Development in 2004. 

After teaching or counseling in  Sweetwater, Anson, and Clyde,  she returned to Abilene ISD as Lead Counselor for Cooper High School in 2014. In 2017, she was named Lead Secondary counselor for AISD. Her professional certifications include school counseling, principal and Licensed Professional Counselor. In August of  2019, Jennifer joined Holland Medical High School as Dean of Students and  is delighted to be back on the campus of Hardin-Simmons University .

Jennifer serves on the board of directors for the Big Country Counseling Association which she has been an active member since 2007.  Additional professional memberships include the Texas Counseling Association, the American School Counseling Association, the Lone Star School Counseling Association, and the Texas State Network of Assessment Professionals. She has been a presenter at professional conferences of TCA and ASCA, as well as, presenting for Region 14.

She was School Counselor of the Year for Region 14 in 2019.
