Certified Medical Assisant is an upcoming career which will be in much demand in the next few years. This course encompasses skills such as making appointments, legal obligations to professionals, communication, business skills and medical terminology. The clinical portion includes anatomy, physiology, rooming patients, patient assessment, history, vital signs and directly assisting the RN and physician in providing patient care and setting up procedures. Students will receive the Clinical Medical Assistant Certification during the fall semester. Students will receive the CET-Certified EKG Technician certification during the spring semester of this course.
