I graduated from Cooper High and McMurry College (now University) and began teaching in 1982. I came to Madison in 1991 and have loved each and every year. My background is in Special Education, but Reading Language Arts has always been my love and I have been teaching 6th grade for 10 years now. I have one grown son who is a welder and a daughter who is a student at Angelo State. I also have 2 dogs, am active in my church and the youth program as well. Many previous Madison students may know me from the 8th grade trip to Washington D.C., which I have been involved in for over 20 years. Traveling, reading and music are my favorite pastimes. Madison is a wonderful place with wonderful, caring teachers and I feel very privileged to be a part of this education system. Education is the gateway to whatever future you wish to have. How you get there and what you do is up to you, but you’ll never be the best until you give your best! Each student should be reading a book each day and bring it to school each day. Look for requirements to come home for projects/reports and a new book at least every 6 weeks. Tutorials: 7:40-8:15 and 3:45-4:15, Tuesdays & Thursdays
