Tonja Evans

This is my 2nd year to teach 7th grade Reading Language Arts at Mann.  I spent the past 10 years in various capacities at a middle school in Lubbock, including teaching Special Education and Reading Language Arts to grades 6,7 and 8.  I am passionate about reading and writing and hope to instill some of that love into my students.  I believe that all students have the capacity to learn, even though their processes of learning may be different.  As an educator, I hope to meet students where they are and build not only their knowledge in my subject, but their confidence in their own capabilities.

When I am not working, I love to travel, especially to visit my older daughter who teaches 6th grade RLA in Corpus Christi and my younger daughter who is a senior, double-majoring in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at Oklahoma State University.
