Allison Gorbenko
Hello! My name is Allison Gorbenko and I teach 8th grade Reading Language Arts at Mann Middle School. This is my second year to teach English at Mann and I am SUPER excited to be on this journey with you and your student! I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Abilene Christian University. I also earned minors in Education, English as a Second Language (ESL) and Coaching. I began my career in 2007 in Irving where I taught ESL 1, 2 and Read180 and earned my RLA certification. I returned to Abilene in 2008 and taught Spanish I and II at Abilene High school for nine years. I stayed home with my kids for the next three years, teaching bilingual pre-k and English as a Learned Language to foreign students online. I returned to the formal classroom in 2020, teaching Spanish I at Mann. I am excited to share my love of reading and writing with your student!
