Third Grade

Third grade is an extremely important year. Students take the state’s mandated math and reading test for the very first time. We read daily in our classroom – everything from information books, fiction, fantasy to biographies. Our students are also exposed to the Bluebonnet books (twenty books selected by Texas librarians) that all third, fourth, and fifth grade students in the great state of Texas read also.  We experience the Philharmonic, the Grace Museum and Safety City!  Third grade is wonderful! Remember, you are your child’s first and best teacher. Ask them to read to you daily. Come see us if you have any questions at all. We are here to help in any way we can.
