Special Education

The Special Education Department at Johnston Elementary strives to facilitate the students’ academic and social learning to help them be successful in school and in life.  The ARD committee, which includes the parents, counselor, and teachers, meets to individualize the programs and services according to the needs of each student.  Our students are served in their Least Restrictive Environments, and have the opportunity to be involved in field trips, school clubs, and special events with their peers.
