Hi, My name is Suzanne Cottrell. I began teaching in the fall of 1990 after graduating from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I taught for ten years in the same school before my family began moving around the country as my husband changed his career goals, went to seminary, and joined the United States Air Force as a Chaplain. I have now taught in three states at eight different schools. I have taught every subject except P.E. and in each grade level from 3rd to 8th grade. I left the classroom in 2018 to become an instructional coordinator at Lee. This allows me to support both students and teachers.
I earned my Master’s of Education from Eastern New Mexico University in 2007 in the area of Elementary Education with an emphasis on curriculum and instruction. I am currently beginning my fourth year as a graduate student at Texas Tech University. I am working to earn a PhD in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Education.
